Donna Jeanne's School of Dance

Donna Jeanne' Professional School of Dance is one of the best Milwaukee Dance Studios
and it features training for pre-school, grade school, teenage, and adult students.  Her classes provide exercise, performance, teaching and choreography in the contemporary style of Modern Jazz (Street/Hip Hop/Contemporary Fusion), Swing, Mid-Eastern, Ballet, Tap, Acrobatic, Ballroom (consisting of Rumba, Salsa, Mambo, Tango, Waltz, Polka, Foxtrot, and Swing), Wedding Couples, Bollywood, Belly Dancing, Country and Line.  Ballet is encouraged for all students. Arthritis Exercise

A newly added program is the Arthritis Program.  Donna is a certified teacher for the Arthritis Foundation. She is one of the only Milwaukee Dance Studios that will teach this program! This program is called the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program and is being sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation.  It is an exercise program designed specifically for people with arthritis.  It includes specially designed exercise to help increase joint flexibility, range of motion and maintain muscle strength.  It also helps increase overall stamina.  Through the recreational and socializing aspects of the program, it can help reduce pain, stiffness and feelings of isolation and depression.  The program provides participants with a fun exercise program that can supplement, but does not replace exercises prescribed by a doctor or therapist.

There are several classes per week, of various levels and ages, and they are divided into exercise, barre, center, footwork and routines designed to limber and tone all the muscles of the body, and a dance movement session which makes use of your new found flexibility.

Goals for Dance

1)  Love of moving and dancing.
  Appreciate and understand the art of dance.
  Create a positive experience from which to learn and grow.
 Develop physical skills that are age appropriate.
  Develop social skills.
  Develop body wellness:
       Understanding and respecting one's own body
         Learning how to move safely
 Educate the community about the importance of appropriate dance.
